Totally in agreement about the Chelsea home, I couldn't understand all the negativity about it. I think the popular Brazil and France shirts will also help it gain appreciation more widely. With Newcastle, red numbers are a tradition that stopped just after the Premier league started, and then was brought back with Newcastle's 125th anniversary. The return of red numbers has allowed Newcastle to return to having stripes on the back of the last 6 jerseys. The sponsor logos are almost always not red because it is unpopular with the fans…home or away. Puma also never put a black cat on any Newcastle kit, as it would upset the fans.
Newcastle have had change jerseys that have been at least half blue for all except 8 seasons since 1993. And have had white change jerseys more than any other colour over their whole history.
The biggest problem with the look of the Newcastle Jerseys is that the sleeve sponsor clashes with them all.
